About us

Together we have created our paradise; a farm in beautiful surroundings, grazing  fields, flowers, a murmuring brook, hiking tours from the doorstep in all directions, the calming sea. And this we want to share. Come to us and enjoy our paradise. Sit on a stone with the sheep, on a log by the brook, or talk about how dreams become true.

The dream of a farm with animals has probably always been there. My upbringing at Alnarp nurtured it. I kept a small garden and brought home a kitten or two but many years went by before the dream became reality. My  desire to care first found its outlet as a children’s nurse and preschool teacher and later as a mother to my two daughters. Different phases in life passed until finally I found my self in a flat with a full time job at a big kindergarten and the need for change felt more and more urgent. It couldn’t be that this was life: too many compromises, too much stress and too little meaning in all of it. I was longing for something more concrete and meaningful, in touch with earth and nature. I didn’t hesitate much at the chance to change and I haven’t regretted it.

I started out as a “square” person. I became a civil engineer  in the 60’s, and designed, amongst other things, traffic lights in a notoriously congested intersection by  Stockholm Stadium. Years later I managed a bus company named Midnight Express – The Hotel on Wheels with Malmoe as its home. At this point I joined Rotary and I am still a member.

Then exciting things happened. Since 1990 I have seen myself as a much more “round” person – inside! Through a charismatic American, Sandy Levey, I learned to see people in a different way. The basis for my new approach to life is the book A Course in Miracles.

In recent years I have been a teacher both in Personal Development and Mathematics while at the same time serving as the building contractor here at Cherry Hill Farm. Nowadays I’m just a farmer and a building contractor.
